Certain cannabidiol products contain dronabinol and nabilone which contains THC that has been approved as a successful medicine by the FDA for childhood epilepsy, back pain, headaches, etc. Some doctors recommend CBD as a topical cream or as a concentration oil to be used for massage therapy, stress relief, muscle spasms, weight gain for patients who have lost excessive weight, and nausea.

CBD VS. THC

CBD is short for Cannabidiol. Cannabidiol is the non psychoactive ingredient in CBD products. Meanwhile THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana giving the mind a brain high thus causing the mind to have hallucinations, or making the body senses more intense while high. For example, the effects of THC while high depending on the person will cause the person more sensitive to sound or hear sounds, will increase a person’s appetite, and can cause a person to fall asleep. Most medical marijuana products are concentrated Cannabidiol which is used to calm the body by giving the body a relaxed high instead of a psychoactive high.

Medicinal use vs. Recreational use

Medical use for marijuana is legal in most U.S states only for medical uses. Meanwhile in certain states recreational and medical use are both legal in the U.S. Depending on the state that has both medicinal and recreational use legal CBD and THC are ratioed out based on the use of the marijuana.
